Stack, Forester, R-1,5,6,9 >>Oral history interview with Dave Stack by James Wall, October 20, 2021, Missoula, MT >>Dave received a BS degree in Forestry from Southern Illinois University in 1964 and Master of Forestry degree from Duke University in 1965. >>Dave was commissioned in the U.S. Navy 1965 as an Ensign and served on the USS America, an aircraft carrier. Resumed his Forest Service work January 1969. >>Dave had a 35-year career with the U.S. Forest Service. Worked on National Forests in Wisconsin, Minnesota, West Virginia and Montana. In 1985, he became the Missoula District Ranger of the Lolo National Forest. He retired in 1999. |
