On page 110 of Pinchot's Breaking New Ground book is a photo of Pinchot and Russell. >> Lockhart's father, William Eaton Lockhart, passed the Forest Ranger Exam and in 1910 was assigned Assistant Ranger at Pryor Mountain, MT. Attended Ranger's short course in Missoula 1912. 1921 Deputy Supervisor of the Custer. >> Glen A. Smith was acting Custer Supervisor 1908; Hoken P. Grotbo was an alternate ranger on the Ashland District in the late 1950s with Jack Curtis Supervisor, John S. Forsman Range Staff >> Russell E. Lockhart was lands and fire staff during the late 1950s.
