Mendocino National Forest Rangers and Supervisors >> History: The forest was proclaimed on February 6, 1907 as the Stony Creek Forest Reserve and one month later, the reserve was added to the national forest system as the Stony Creek National Forest. On July 2, 1908 it was renamed the California National Forest and renamed the Mendocino National Forest on July 12, 1932. >> Museum volunteers compiled a list of District Rangers, by Ranger Districts.
