An Interview with Brent Botts >>Oral history interview with Brent Botts, Nemo, SD, October 12, 2023 >>In this interview, Brent Botts discusses his long career with the Forest Service. Born and raised in Oklahoma, he earned a bachelor's degree in forest management from Oklahoma State. After a few summers working for the National Park Service, he became a trainee forester for the Forest Service in Mena, Arkansas. From there, he launched into a long career as both a line officer and a high-level recreation planner. Of particular note are his memories of the years he spent managing the Appalachian Trail.
