This airplane is being restored to flying condition, 2019-2021 by the Mid America Flight Museum of Mt. Pleasant Texas. >> Photographer Lester Gahler was a Civilian Public Service smokejumper assigned projected that trained at Camp Paxson and Ninemile Remount Station, Lolo National Forest. Gahler attended the 1973 Reunion at Camp Paxson 1943 Gahler was assigned to the McCall, ID Jump Base, now Payette National Forest >> NC8112's FAA records, indicates this plane was in an accident on July 19, 1941 in the Montana Six Mile area |
