ACM Selective Logging in Ponderosa Crown Condition - Research Plot 603 1932 Picture point 15 feet southeast of tree 1545 Douglas-Fir. Photograph taken to show crown of tree 1679, which is a class 5 (Dunning) overmature tree. Tree 1678, a bull pine, is 25 feet to the left. The tree downhill and 15 feet to the left is tree 1867. ACM (Anaconda Copper Mining Company) until 1915 known as the Amalgamated Copper Mining Company) managed forest land in the Blackfoot River area of Montana. ACM operated a large sawmill at Bonner.
