American Flag in Honor of 1910 Firefighters 2012 This flag was presented to the National Museum of Forest Service History in honor of those 78 fire fighters who lost their lives fighting the 1910 Forest Fires that burned over 3,000,000 acres in northern Idaho, western Montana and northeast Washington. This flag was presented at the 2012 national convention of the Society of American Foresters in Spokane Washington on October 25, 2012. The flay was folded in the traditional triangle form by the Forest Service honor guard at the opening ceremonies. Photographed |
