1930 - Family cabin at Seeley Lake next to the cabin the Reverend John Maclean family. Peter learne fly fishing from John Maclean. Koch family (just the boys?) traveled to and back each summer to the cabin by horses. Two day try. The boys (no adults) took 2 week pack each summer, usually east in the Bob Marshall Stanley at age 11 (1926) rode on a horse 100 miles from family cabin on Flathead lake to Boy Scout camp at Seeley lake. On arrival he was told that he was too young for Scout camp, but he was allowed to stay. |
